01 / The challenge

Traditional learning tools didn’t fit life on the road.

When the founder packed up and took her kids on the road around Australia, the education options didn't work for how they were actually living. Distance education needed rigid schedules and reliable internet. Traditional homeschooling meant becoming a full-time curriculum expert overnight.

The kids had been Montessori educated before the trip and had loved school. On the road, nothing held their interest. And as a parent she knew they were learning, because you can't travel Australia and not learn, but she had no way of knowing whether they were falling behind.

So she built Roamschool.

02 / What we built

A tutor, a curriculum and a parent view, in one app.

A learning app designed specifically for life on the road. It combines Montessori principles of self-directed learning with the Australian Curriculum, and uses an AI tutor that adapts to each child's level and pace. Kids work through activities that fit where they are that day. Parents get a clear view of what strands their children have covered, so the question of "are they keeping up?" has an actual answer.

It is built to work without reliable internet. No rigid daily schedule required.
