01 / The challenge
The help was already there.
Nobody could find it.
Plenty of people travelling Australia have a trade, a skill or a business they run from the road. Plenty of stations, farms and households need exactly that, and have nobody within a hundred kilometres.
The two kept missing each other. Work got found through park noticeboards, community groups and word of mouth, which works right up until you need somebody this week.
The usual fallback is calling someone in from the nearest city, which means waiting, and paying for the travel before anyone starts.

Find a travelling worker by skill, location and availability, across trades, digital work and personal services.

Stations, farms, businesses and households post paid work, house sits, farm sits and pet sits.

Workers set where they are now and where they are headed, so a search returns who will be nearby rather than who was there last month.

Every review is attached to a verified trip rather than left as an anonymous rating.
03 / THE PART THAT TOOK THE WORK
A directory where everybody moves.
Most directories assume a business has an address. On Lappable nobody does. A worker might be in Broome this fortnight and further up the coast the next, and a station that needs a hand on Thursday does not care where that person was in June. That means the whole thing is built around a route and a date rather than a suburb.
